Um, Hi. Remember Me?

I feel like I have been away from blogging like forever! Even though it's only been a couple of weeks. Big thanks to K.M. Weiland for the awesome guest post last week. (If you didn't read it, you should.)

Here I am in the home stretch. Last week of the month. I wrote nineteen pages last week--not as good as the previous too, but not too shabby, either. I'll take it. Now it's time to finish this thing. I feel I am within reach of that goal, but I have one little problem.

I don't know how it ends.

I don't recall ever having this problem before. I always know the end. I live to write the ending that I've been daydreaming about all the way through. This time? I got nothin'.Well, not nothing. I do have an idea for an ending (after spending a lot of last week pondering it), but I'm not sure it's a good ending. I don't know if it will be satisfying and resonate with the beginning of the story and tie up all the loose ends and all the things a good ending does. It's kind of weird for me. But, I will not give up! I will proceed with the ending I have come up with and we'll see how it works.

So, wish me luck. Let's see if I can finish this puppy by Saturday! (I really think I can.)

Write an ending and then go back and change it to make sense. You can do it!

Good luck! You can always write an ending like my NaNo book last year. And I quote: "And he explained everything and they all lived happily ever after."

Anything you come up with *has* to be better than that, right?

I remember you!!

Good luck with that ending, Angie. I'm sure once you set about writing it, you'll figure it out!

When in doubt, blow something up... ;-)

oh, good luck with that! I usually know how things will end also, so I don't have any good advice springing to mind... but I know you'll get it. Take a long, relaxing shower. That always works for me! :o) <3

Sometimes getting the right ending means getting to the end of the story, and then reviewing and revising. Hang in there and you'll get what works.

Thanks for all the encouragement, guys. I appreciate it! Todd, I think the story may have enough explosions already, but it's worth a shot! And thanks, Terry. I appreciate you guys stopping by.

I've had this problem before once or twice and I get all angsty about it. Sending lots of good vibes your way! Good luck!

I feel your pain. I don't know my ending, either. I have a sort of vague whisper of what it could be, but nothing definite enough to really bring it home.

Hope we both figure it out! :)

Good luck to you to, Jennifer. Thanks for stopping by and becoming a follower!

Good luck! I know you can do it. :o)

And I've had that problem before--not know the ending. It's only every happened once!

You can always rewrite it if you don't like it! Keep writing!

*nods in agreement* Yup, I often have the same problem. But since your not-knowing probably does not have the same cause as my not-knowing, I'm sure you'll be able to work out an excellent ending if you just keep at it. Here's wishing you happy and successful writing! :-)

Thanks so much, Jan and Melanie. I think I know where I'm going now, so it's full speed ahead!

Good luck! I know my endings, but I've had to change them. So just go with the flow and make any necessary changes later.

Happy Writing! I'm glad to hear of your amazing progress, and I hope that your ending works well for you. Endings are tough for me. I have a picture in my head usually, but then when wrestling it onto the page, sometimes the idea dies. And doesn't blow up . . .so, I'm hoping that your ending is awesome, with or without explosions!

Thanks so much, Tyrean! Just three more days to go. The ending is coming along--no explosions, but a pretty good fight scene.
